Miss Tammi began her life in music at the age of six. In her early years she could not keep her fingers off the piano. She had several teachers including those at The Community Music School of Allentown, Pennsylvania. They were the teachers who prepared Miss Tammi for her college career: Dr. Martha Marchena, David Auerbach and Stephen Williams. She chose to study Music Education and Piano Performance at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania, not far from Amish Country in Lancaster and the infamous Hershey, PA. While at LVC she studied Dr. Dennis Sweigart. After college Miss Tammi taught private piano lessons in her Pennsylvania home she shared with her husband and three children. She also began directing handbell choirs at her local church. After a dozen years she moved on to be a handbell and vocal choir director at another hometown church. While teaching there her musicians ranged from two to eighty-two. That was until she began her first Mommy and Me Music classes. Each week she made music with infants through children not quite reaching kindergarten. She loved the diversity of ages and abilities. After several years (and a little Covid) Miss Tammi’s family moved to sunny Florida where she penned and published her first book. Now she is back to her first love – PIANO MUSIC! – while writing future books. Join Miss Tammi for a music class where you will feel her joy and passion for music while you discover your own.
